Barbara Stammel

Soecking / Starnberg - Germany, 1960

The painter Barbara Stammel she studied painting and engraving at the Akademie der Bildene Künste of Munich, Germany, she also conducts sculpture studies at the Workshop of Magdalena Jetelova, in the same city.

In 1992 she develops the solo exhibition, entitled "The Englishwomen" in the gallery Art Zero Gallery from Barcelona. She has been based in Getaria / Gipuzkoa since 1994.

For five years she has been working with the Madrid gallery Angel Romero, with him participates in the ARCO art fair.

In 2005 she held a solo exhibition at the Gallery Sixteen from Donostia - San Sebastian.

Throughout her career she has made more than twenty individual exhibitions and a long list of collective exhibitions. We want to highlight, in the year 1996 participates in the  XI Biennial of Art of Murcia and in the sample of the XII LÓREAL Painting Contest, House of Velázquez of Madrid. In 1999 she participated in the traveling exhibition "Okupgraf 99", Aramburu Palace, Toulouse.

Wins Prizes in different Competitions, in 2001 wins the 1st Prize, Caja Castilla La Mancha / Tomelloso. In 2007 the Painting Prize "ANTONIO LOPEZ TORRES", Antonio Lopez Torres Museum / City of Tomelloso, we stand out from her list.
