Mikel Casal (Donostia, 1965) has a long experience and collaborates as an illustrator for multiple media, has published in prestigious national and international publishers. He has also written and illustrated books that have been translated into German and English.

His drawings have been selected for the catalogue World Press Cartoon and it has many international collaborations. His talent has been selected among 100 artists from all over the world  thus participating in the book “PICNIC International Contemporary Illustration”.

The artist from San Sebastian has created different characters for several animation projects, among others he has collaborated on the feature film entitled “The crab island” from the producer Irusoin and winner of the Goya in 2001 for its best animated film category.

His illustrations have been selected to be included in the exhibition “Spanish illustrators, the color of optimism"traveling exhibition for the Cervantes Institutes from all over the world.
