Biography and Works of Ramón Ruiz Cabestany

San Sebastian, 1960

He adds to his sculptural works the irony of nature itself, constantly altered and destroyed by our society. In his works, the protagonist is the human being faced with space and nature from an ironic perspective that forces us to consider reality and accept its bewilderment.

He makes figures out of refractory clay and stoneware. The manufacturing process involves the modeling of the piece, baking (baking without enamel to harden the piece), making the enamel itself with metal oxides, baking at 1,280 degrees and cooling. It has a wide variety of products and makes unique pieces since it does not use molds.
